Hello! My name is Steph and I am a wedding and portrait photographer in Arizona. I have an adoring husband and two fabulously funny kids, both aged 4 and 6. Currently, we are on the hunt for a golden retriever puppy to add to our crew since ours passed just before my son was born--crossing my fingers that our wish will be granted soon!
I was born in Arizona and currently reside there. Being close to my family is so important to us and watching our kids grow up around their cousins and grandparents is truly a dream come true. Having been raised around my own grandparents and knowing how important that was in my upbringing, I am so glad that I am able to provide that for my children. When I was in high school back in 2000 I took my first film developing class at Westwood High School (Go Warriors!). I have been hooked ever since on the look of film. I never felt truly artistic with a digital camera. I longed for the look of film during the digital revolution of the 2000s and I can not tell you how excited I am that film is making a come back.
In 2009, after the passing of my father and heartache that resulted, I started a small company photographing family portraits and soon delved into more wedding portraits. After my father's death, I really needed a change and needed to create something that spoke to me. Steponme Photography was my security blanket in a sense because it kept me busy but also helped me deal with my grief from losing a parent in my mid 20s. I am sure anyone who has lost a parent can relate. Good things do come from tragedy and last year that company photographed over 80 weddings and I could not be prouder of how far we have come in seven years.
2016 I decided to start this company to focus on fine art film photography. Going back to my roots and capturing fine art images for our brides and grooms has been a dream come true. I would not trade this amazing life for anything and I am so grateful to the family, friends and vendors who has helped and continue to help service this amazing journey. Thank you!
