Kerry + Brendan | Portland Maine Wedding

One of my favorite weddings of 2024 was this Maine wedding for Kerry and Brendan. Could not love this celebration enough. Kerry and Brendan wanted the un-posed candid shots and we delivered. They wanted to be in the moment vs posing for lots of portraits and it was so freeing and I hope more couples ask me to do this because it was a dream.

We walked around Maine, took a Ferry to the area where they were married and even got on a boat with the couple after their ceremony for some lighthouse shots. Kerry loves film and we shot so much of it that you can see here. We even used her mom’s 35mm camera; just love that we were able to do that for! Reception was also such a party and hot dogs were abundant.

Lets do it all over again guys!!

Steph captured our wedding day in the most beautiful and thoughtful way. I was truly brought to tears when she sent us the teaser the day after the wedding. We will treasure her photos for the rest of our lives. She was always incredibly responsive throughout the process and we always had so much confidence in what she was doing. We didn’t do a first look and I was always very concerned about time on the wedding day and Steph did such an amazing job keeping everything moving so that we had plenty of time to get amazing photos together. We can’t wait to do another session with Steph in the future! I will hire her over and over again!!

We wanted to create a vintage-inspired event, and we were immediately drawn to Steph’s docu-style aesthetic and use of film cameras. It was important that our photos didn’t feel stale and overly posed. In addition, her professionalism was a breath of fresh air. Steph was able to make the end product beautiful and tasteful. My father passed 2 weeks before the wedding, and her delicate approach to the imagery with my family will never be forgotten.
