Joshua Tree Inspo & Workshop Reveal | Joshua Tree Photographer

Over the last year I have been slowly and constantly molding into an editing style that fits who I am as an artist and the kind of photographer I want to be. There are so many amazing photographers in the world and finding your unique style can be tricky. Because we are constantly visualizing someone else’s vision, ours can sometimes get lost in the fray. Over the last couple months, I’ve stopped looking at other photographers’ work, especially those in the wedding industry, and started reading fashion magazines and lifestyle decor books, and editorial design magazines. The things you will find on my site that will reoccur are my passion for lifestyle, editorial, and interior design. I love bringing these elements into my wedding work. This shoot was to show that aesthetic and create a unique flare from one of my favorite places. Palm Springs and Joshua Tree have become my newest obsession and creative outlet. I have been twice this year so far and will be going back for a third and forth.

As some may know, I’ve been wanting to branch out into the world of teaching since 2020 when I started mentoring and doing in person one one one shoots. Well today is the day to reveal that I will be hosting my first workshop in Palm Springs in November. Now. Don’t get me wrong. Lots of people do workshops. I’m not one that truly enjoys being in front of a lot of people. I am a person who would rather sit in a living room drinking wine, having bruchetta and chatting about photography.

And that my friends, is exactly what I’m going to do. This workshop will be business-based, creative-based with some shoots and photo walks thrown in. It will be about creating relationships and being able to actually, answer your questions and be able to help each person equally. There will not be photographers pushing you out of the way for ‘the shot’ and these workshops will not and I repeat not have tablescapes or details. It will be about the people, the backdrop, the emotion. That is what I’ve always wanted in a workshop for myself. That being said, I am only allowing TEN openings. If you are interested in this type of experience I’m opening up now before my workshop site goes live later this month. By the end of the week, it will be closed. Below you will find the details:

Location: Palm Springs

Shoot Locations: Palm Springs and Joshua Tree

of being in the wedding business, I've learned how much of a gift this job has been. It has truly been one of the most consistent things in my life. After loss, divorce, being an autism mom and breakups; it has been the constant love that always gives my heart happiness. There is nothing more fulfilling than hearing from my couples how much their photos have meant to them and what joy it was to re-live their wedding day. It means so much to me to be able to do this for a living and give joy to so many people. So truly Thank You from the bottom of my heart. xoxo

Steph captured our wedding day in the most beautiful and thoughtful way. I was truly brought to tears when she sent us the teaser the day after the wedding. We will treasure her photos for the rest of our lives. She was always incredibly responsive throughout the process and we always had so much confidence in what she was doing. We didn’t do a first look and I was always very concerned about time on the wedding day and Steph did such an amazing job keeping everything moving so that we had plenty of time to get amazing photos together. We can’t wait to do another session with Steph in the future! I will hire her over and over again!!

We really enjoyed working with Steph. Our photos turned out beautifully and she has a fantastic eye for composition and a knack for finding genuine moments. She captured the essence of our day perfectly, making us feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process. We couldn’t be happier with the final results and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer for their special day!

We wanted to create a vintage-inspired event, and we were immediately drawn to Steph’s docu-style aesthetic and use of film cameras. It was important that our photos didn’t feel stale and overly posed. In addition, her professionalism was a breath of fresh air. Steph was able to make the end product beautiful and tasteful. My father passed 2 weeks before the wedding, and her delicate approach to the imagery with my family will never be forgotten.

"I mean it when I say that my wedding would not have been the success it was without Steph and her team.."

ANGELIQUE & JOSH

The pictures speak for themselves. I truly can’t recommend Steph enough for your engagement and wedding photos. She’s incredibly flexible and has the most amazing artistic eye. Some photographers are people who take pictures, but she’s a true artist with a great artistic vision.

She brought different types of cameras and wanted to capture the day creatively but still kept true to color and appearances of the day. I would hire her again 100 times over!

Aura captured the wonders of our day. Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the.
