Back in May I photographed Jessica + Caleb’s engagement session in the mountains and we got some amazing desert landscape shots! I’ve known Jessica for about 3 years now and have photographed many of her friends. This time its her turn and she will get to marry her beau next spring in their private residence wedding.

About their engagement:

Spring Training has always been a favorite time of year for Caleb and Jessica. There is nothing better than warm spring sunshine, toes in the grass, and ice cold drinks. Oh, and the baseball too. Caleb and Jessica had been planning to attend a spring training game on March 19th with Jessica’s friends Tina and Kelcie as well as Caleb’s best friend Charlie and his wife, Lauren. Jessica’s brother, Chris, and his girlfriend, Jenna, also surprised them by attending and bringing Jessica’s mom. Jessica had a feeling for some time that today might be “the day!”

The group found a great spot out in the grass and Jessica quickly forgot about her “feeling.” Everyone was sitting, chatting, and having a great time. One thing was odd, Tina kept taking Jessica’s drink…Jessica was wondering why Tina didn’t just go get her own drink. But, this was all a part of the plan. Around the third inning, Tina had finished off Jessica drink and told her that they needed to go get another. Tina, Jessica, and Kelcie ventured off into the crowd for their refills. Upon returning to their spot in the grass, Jessica was completely oblivious and began to sit down. At this point, Caleb yelled out “No, no, don’t sit.” That is when it happened. Caleb had the ring out and was on one knee. He had caught Jessica off guard and she was ecstatic! Everyone in the group knew what was going to happen. Tina took pictures while Lauren filmed the proposal. It was an incredible and beautiful moment totally fitting for a couple that met and began dating because of baseball.
