Often times when I meet a couple it may take them a little bit to warm up to me and relax. I think itās that feeling of anticipation and anxiousness that comes with having someone photograph you for the first time. To warm up my clients I like to tell jokes, make fun of myself and ask about themselves. Itās a technique Iāve used for several years.
When people look at my photographs, I want them to feel the love, laughter and overall happiness that comes with wedding photography. My goal with every client is to capture the essence of that person. In a sense, Iām telling a story with my pictures and when I see a portrait for example, I want to show to the world who that person is. I think thatās why I love candid moments so much. We are only truly ourselves when we arenāt being asked to pose in a certain way.
I think this wedding truly represented my wedding style because I was given the chance to capture this wedding the way I felt it needed to be captured. Samantha and Eddie are cool in that way because they just let me create, and I think that is the best thing you can ever ask of your photographer. I was given āfree-rangeā to capture their love, their laughter and their emotional beautiful moments.
I will forever remember this beautiful day and I hope below you will get a sneak peak into just how amazing their day was.
